The Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LiHEAP) provides assistance to help low-income individuals and families, whether they own or rent, with fuel bills during the winter season. This program serves residents of Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich and Coventry.
RiHEAP generally runs from October thru April, with eligible individuals and families receiving a primary grant to help pay their heating bills.
Eligibility for this program is based on income and the guidelines are updated every year thru the Rhode Island Department of Energy.
