Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LiHEAP)- Provides assistance to Rhode Island’s low-income individuals and families, whether they own or rent, to assist with fuel bills during the winter season. The program generally runs from October thru April, with eligible individuals and families receiving a primary grant to help pay their heating bills. This program serves residents of Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich and Coventry. Eligibility for this program is based on income; the guidelines are updated every year thru the Rhode Island Department of Energy.
